Summer Camp Programs
Oglebay offers summer camp programs for all ages at the Good Zoo, plus Junior Golf Camp, Tennis Academy and horse-lovers camp. Oglebay Institute and Wheeling Park also offer a variety of programs for kids of all ages!

Zoo Camps
Through hands-on activities, experiments and live animals, participants will learn about wildlife, nature, science and the outdoors. These ALL NEW programs are taught by the zoo’s experienced education staff. Lifeguards are on duty for all swimming activities and staff are trained in CPR and first aid. Various camp programs are available for ages 3 - 11 years. Most camp programs are from 9 am - 3 pm with before and aftercare available.

Junior Golf Camp
This popular 8-week program is designed for children ages 7-17 and includes instructional sessions, including play on the course, for the driving range and Par III course. Program participants receive golf discounts throughout the time of their enrollment. Classes are determined by age and will meet one day per week for a 3-hr class.

Tennis Camps at Oglebay
Each participant will learn the fundamentals of tennis, with game base drills and modern day stroke production, along with tennis games. Sportsmanship, tennis etiquette and teamwork will also be emphasized in all camps.

Horse Lovers Camps at Oglebay
The stables at Oglebay offer a variety of camps during the summer including beginner, intermediate and a special program for young riders ages 4-6. The Beginner and intermediate includes a trip to the pool in the afternoon.

Nature Camps at the Schrader Center
Nature Day Camps at the Schrader Center allow children to explore the wonders of nature through a multidisciplinary curriculum. Camps focus on field experience, enrich National Science Education Standards, integrate many other disciplines and promote a healthy lifestyle through hands-on activities. Nature Investigators, Nature Explorers and Nature Scholars swim Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons at Oglebay's outdoor pool. Pre and post care is available for Nature Investigators, Nature Explorers and Nature Scholars. Please inquire upon registering.

Summer Camps at Oglebay Institute
Oglebay Institute has been providing area children with safe, well-supervised, educational camps for more than 50 years. Each year brings new topics and new ways to inspire. Available for children of all ages, Oglebay Institute Summer Day Camps are held each year from June through August. Taught by professional educators, each week of camp is designed around a different theme. Topics include art, dance, nature and theater. Sign-up early, many camps sell out quickly! Camp scholarships are available to assist families in taking advantage of these fun and educational programs.

Wheeling Park Day Camp
Wheeling Park Day Camp has been a favorite childhood tradition in the Ohio Valley for many years. The program provides children the opportunity to participate in games, make crafts, swim and enjoy all that beautiful Wheeling Park has to offer. Our staff of directors, craft coordinators and counselors have over 30 years experience working with children of all ages and abilities. We pride ourselves in offering a camp experience that is safe, activity-filled but most importantly fun!
