Qualifications Must be a student currently attending a college golf management program and required to serve an internship in the related field.  Will serve in a wide variety of golf operational duties including conducting all tasks required to provide a quality 8-week Jr. golf program.

Qualifications

Summer internship.  Prefer individuals whose major is Education,  Recreation & Parks, or Fine Art.  Must be outgoing, enthusiastic, possess good customer service skills, and enjoy working with children.  Intern will be responsible for creating a weekly Activities Calendar for hotel guests.  Schedule includes weekends, nights, and holidays; 15-20 hours per week.

Overview/Qualifications Preferably college juniors, seniors working towards a degree/certification in education with majors in Education, Biology or Environmental Science. Individual will be an outgoing, self-starter and willing to work a flexible schedule. Will assist education department in program instruction by completing lesson planning, program evaluations/surveys, grant writing and material development.
Internship Title ANIMAL CARE INTERN

Compensation 320 Hour Internship - Unpaid for College Credit
Overview Individual will be exposed to providing daily care and management to zoo animals, special events planning, public interpretation and observational research. Intern is required to read and complete testing on the animal keeper-training manual, conduct a research project at the zoo, and submit a final report at the conclusion of the internship.
Qualifications College juniors, seniors, or graduate students with majors in Animal Science, Biology, Wildlife and Fisheries Management, or Zoology. (Freshmen and sophomore students will be considered under special circumstances.)

Current Employees:
To apply for any of the above positions, complete a transfer application, receive approval by signature of your current supervisor, and deliver the transfer application to the Human Resources Department as soon as possible.

Outside Applicants:
Complete a Wheeling Park Commission Application for Employment and forward it to the Human Resources Department as soon as possible. (The Human Resources Department is located between the Visitor Center and the Greenhouse, Oglebay Park and is open between 7:30 am - 5 pm M-F. Applications can be obtained at the Visitor Center on the weekends, between 9 am - 5 pm.) EOE M/F/D/V
