Newly Announced! “Behind the Scenes” Garden Tour - $26 per person
Summer is a great time to visit Oglebay! The flowers are in bloom and the Resort is alive with new and exciting activities for groups to enjoy.
We are excited to announce a new “Behind the Scenes” tour featuring the Bissonnette Gardens of Oglebay Resort. Your tour package includes a guided tour of the 16-acre gardens, a special souvenir, your choice of lunch menu, the Oglebay Past and Present Tour and a choice of one activity on the property. The garden tour focuses on the history of the buildings still in use today. Waddington Farm (present day Oglebay Resort) once included dairy, poultry, pig and sheep farms as well as stables, vineyards, a greenhouse, a rose garden, groves of fruit trees, vegetable gardens for the consumption of those living within the estate and specified areas used to research agricultural techniques.

Lodging at Wilson Lodge
Located at the center of this sprawling, four-season resort, is Wilson Lodge featuring 271 inviting guest rooms. The lodge has been charmingly constructed of beautiful woods and fieldstone. Snuggle up in front of one of our fireplaces, take a dip in the heated indoor pool, or relax at the new West Spa. Enjoy your favorite beverages at the Glass Works Grill, followed by a delightful dinner in the Ihlenfeld Dining Room. Dining Options
- Ihlenfeld Dining Room is the public dining room at Wilson Lodge to be enjoyed at your leisure and not available for large group seating. (Private dining rooms are available with a customized menu for your groups.) The Ihlenfeld Dining Room serves something for everyone, from buffets to gourmet entrees, to children’s fare. Or try the new wood-fired steaks and chops at the dining room. The dining room overlooks Schenk Lake, and offers a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. Summer diners can enjoy the lake’s 150-ft. fountain with its music and colored lights and holiday diners can enjoy the bright lights of the Winter Festival of Lights. It’s a great way to dine!
- Private Dining Rooms at Wilson Lodge
January through October a room is reserved just for you specifically for your meal time. These rooms are used for all group meals.
- GlassWorks Grill
During your group’s leisure time, individuals will enjoy The Glass Works Grill located in Wilson Lodge. We offer a full menu in a casual atmosphere. The friendly efficient staff and delectable menu items will make the Glass Works Grill a favorite Oglebay activity. (Not available for large group seating. Private dining rooms are available with a customized menu for your group.
- Catered Cookouts
Let your group get back to nature with a catered cookout at one of Oglebay’s beautiful picnic sites. Catering is offered everyday with a minimum of 30 persons.
