Workshops for Individual Scouts
If you cannot get your troop together for a workshop program at the zoo, here is an opportunity for your girls to attend workshops individually. These fun, educational programs are designed to help Scouts earn their try-its, patches and interest projects.
Each program includes: Zoo admission, guided zoo tour, train ride (seasonal-weather/facilities permitting), live animal presentation, booklet, workshop materials, and a zoo patch. Participants will also be treated to a pizza lunch and ice cream snack!
Camps
The zoo education department offers a variety of seasonal programs for children ages 4 to 16. Pre-registration is required. Please Click here for a PDF of the available classes, which includes a registration form. After completing the form, you can mail or fax to 304-243-4110.
Field Trips & Teacher Programs
Looking for a hands-on adventure for your students? Then the zoo is for you! The Good Zoo provides unique opportunities for student involvement whether it's seeing the Big Dipper in the Benedum Planetarium or touching a llama or looking at tiny creatures through a microscope.
