The Wheeling Park commission is pleased that you have chosen our Speidel Golf Club for your golf outing. We request that you carefully read the following course rules. Your cooperation and compliance with these rules will add to your enjoyment and the enjoyment of all golfers playing this golf course.
Speed of Play
We monitor speed of play. It is our goal to achieve an acceptable 18 hole pace for the enjoyment of all players. Two hours and fifteen minutes should be the maximum time allotted to complete 9 holes of golf. Players who cannot keep this pace may forfeit all fees and playing privileges. Please allow no more than five minutes to look for a lost ball.
Registration
Each player must register in the Pro Shop prior to play. All play Must begin on #1 tee. Starts on the back nine must be authorized by the starter. Each player must have a complete set of clubs.
Dress Code
Appropriate golf attire must be worn at all times. No tank tops, cut off jeans or shirts, jogging shorts, & tee shirts with inappropriate language or suggestions.
Children
Children, age 5 and up, will be permitted on the golf course when supervised by an adult. Adults with children must take full responsibility for the safety of the children and the behavior of the children on the golf course. One adult must accompany each child. Children will count as one rider in the Golf car.
Golf Cars
You may drive across the fairway at any time (conditions permitting.) Please keep cars on path near all greens, tees, and posted areas. Lessee must be 18 years old. Driver must have drivers license and be 18 years old. No more than 2 riders. Keep 30 feet from putting surfaces.
Etiquette
Please keep pace with the group in front of you. Allow faster groups to play through. Please repair ball marks and divots.
Fivesomes
Fivesomes are not permitted at anytime.
Stop at Turn
Please allow no more than five minutes to stop at the turn for refreshments, rest room, etc. Anyone who extends their stop beyond five minutes may relinquish their position on the course and must check with the starter to resume play.
Alcoholic Beverages
Our state laws mandate that no alcoholic beverages may be brought into a licensed account. Therefore, no coolers are permitted, only beverages purchased from the refreshment stand may be taken on the course. Iced beer and soft drinks will be available at the clubhouse refreshment stand. Coolers with ice water are permitted.
