Rental Procedures
The Palmer and Waddington Houses will be available for public rental each year at the annual cottage lottery November 1 at Wilson Lodge. Waddington will require weekly rentals during the traditional vacation season, Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Due to the nature of Estate Houses as an executive retreat, some days may be restricted for conferences. Pre-booked conferences will not require the weekly rental, which may make shorter stays available during this period. The available dates for the following calendar year will be distributed prior to the lottery.
Estate Houses are a Sunday to Sunday weekly rental with check-in at 4pm and check-out at 10am. Daily rental check-in is 4pm and check-out is 11am
Deposit/ Cancellation Policy
A deposit of $750 + tax is required for all multiple night bookings. The entire rental, including tax is required for any one night booking.
Information & Regulations In general, the regular cottage information and regulations apply, with the following exceptions.
Palmer and Waddington dates are for the following year only, beginning November 1 and utilizing all other booking rentals and regulations.
The unit is entirely non-smoking. Smoking is permitted only on the exterior screened-in porch.
No pets permitted
Daily maid service may be requested in advance, at additional fees. Contact reservations for rates and service.
Private catering, other than by the Oglebay Food & Beverage Department, is prohibited.
