Cottage Rental Procedures

Traditional & Deluxe Cottages

2012 Timetable

Oglebay cottages are available for reservation by the week only between June 24, 2012 - August 11, 2012. These are referred to as Summer Weekly Rentals and priced at the In-Season Weekly Rate.
Rentals from May 28, 2012 - June 23, 2012 and August 12, 2012 - September 3, 2012 will require a two-night minimum, and weekly rentals during these time periods are priced at the In-Season Weekly Rate.
All other rentals for less than one week are priced at the Daily or Weekend Rate. All cottages can be booked 2 years in advance.

Weekend Rentals

Weekends require Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday night rentals. Other special events or weekends such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Labor Day and Memorial Day require a minimum three night stay. Requests for one weekend night may be considered, based on availability.
Reservations for Summer Weekly Rentals are accepted for no more or no less than one week. Specific requests are considered, but not guaranteed. Success in obtaining a reservation is highly increased by supplying as many alternate dates as possible. Management reserves the right to prebook any cottage for conference groups.

Deposit Policy

Off Season Weekly, Daily & Weekend Rentals
A deposit of $300 + tax is required for all multiple night bookings. The entire rental, including tax is required for any one night booking.
Summer Weekly Rentals
All Summer Weekly Rentals must pay the entire rental fee, including tax by April 10, 2012.

Cancellation Policy

Off Season Weekly, Daily and Weekend Rentals
Reservations cancelled less than 30 days in advance, result in forfeiture of the entire deposit. Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance will receive a full refund, less a $200 + tax cancellation fee.
Summer Weekly Rentals
Any cancellation prior to May 1 will receive a full refund, less a $100 + tax cancellation fee. Any cancellation after May 1, or up to 30 days in advance of arrival, will result in forfeiture of 50% of the entire deposit. The remaining 50% may be applied to a future reservation, provided the arrival date is within the following 12 months.
Any cancellation less than 30 days in advance will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

Traditional & Deluxe Cottages Specials

January - May & September - December, 2012
Thursday & Sunday Specials available with non-holiday weekend rentals based upon availability. Check-in 4 pm Thursday or stay over Sunday night for only $150.00 extra each night.
January 2 - April 30, 2012
25% discount on all Traditional and Deluxe cottages

Premium Cottages

Rental Procedures

Premium cottages will be available for public rental each year at the annual cottage lottery in November.
Due to the nature of these cottages as executive retreats, some days may be restricted for conferences. Pre-booked conferences will not require the weekly rental, which may make shorter stays available during this period. The available dates for the following calendar year will be distributed prior to the lottery.
Premium cottages have check-in time at 4 pm and check-out at 10 am. Daily rental check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is 11 am.

Deposit/Cancellation Policy

A deposit of $750 + tax is required for all multiple night bookings. The entire rental, including tax is required for any one night booking.

Information & Regulations
In general, the information and regulations for traditional & deluxe cottages apply, with the following exceptions:

All units are entirely non-smoking.
No pets are permitted.
Daily maid service may be requested in advance for an additional fee. Contact reservations for more information.
Private catering, other than Oglebay’s Food & Beverage Department is prohibited.
Tents/canopies, travel trailers and RV camping are not permitted in premium cottages, estate houses and/or in the resort or cottage areas.
